Hen Party popstar style

Ok so she might not have had a wild hen night in Brighton or gone to many hen parties in Bournemouth, but good old Christina Aguilera has been spotted on a good traditional hen night out (albeit in Mexico).

Whilst many hens shun the cliched 'girls night out' in favour of extreme sports of a spot of pampering at a health farm, we are glad to see Christina keeping it real and sporting a garter, tiara and veil on her night out. Sadly she was lacking in 'L' plates (although we suspect she may not be entirely new to the charms of the opposite sex, or indeed letting it all hang out on the dance floor...) but we say if it is good enough for Christina than it is certainly good enough for us!

Check out a range of Christina-style hen night venues.

Hen party without party feet

The majority of women (bar the truly battle-hardened) will be familiar with the old struggle of beautiful shoes vs. cripplingly sore feet, and whilst every now and then party shoes can be forsaken for the sake of comfort, your hen party is no time to be scrimping on the heels and straps.

But nor is it the time to be distracted by sore feet and possibly even driven off the dance floor by the pain.... so fortunately corporate event planning company Eclipse Leisure has come up with a solution. The Celebration Bus is custom built to transport you in style from venue to venue, giving you the opportunity to rest your feet in preparation for the next dance floor! Plus you can dance away safe in the knowledge that you will not have to endure a 20mins walk for a taxi at the end of the night!

Hen weekends make you fit for the big day!

Traditionally hen and stag parties had to be held sometime in advance of the big day to prevent embarrassing sickness amongst new spouses, but with action-packed adventures becoming all the rage your hen weekend could prove to be the ideal last-minute weight loss boost!

For exercise with a difference (and you will really will have earned that fry-up the next morning) try sailing, quad biking, or even an energetic lap-dancing lesson - so the only thing you have to worry about on your big day is a possible broken leg!

Hens getting wilder

Stag-style hen weekends are increasingly popular now overtaking the more traditional pampering style hen weekends that were favoured by brides to be of yesteryear (well 2004 anyway).

With reports in the news of binge drinking rife amongst women it is refreshing to see that hens do not need to rely on gallons of alcopops to have a good time. Activities such as quad biking, white water rafting, abseiling and climbing now top the charts of favoured hen parties, with perhaps a restorative spritzer for afters.

Hen Party thrills

More and more hens are abandoning the usual run of the mill hen weekend and opting for some high-octane thrills instead. A night out on the tiles ahs been replaced with a weekend spent quad biking, white water rafting and paintballing by adventurous hens for looking for a bit more of an adrenalin hit on their last weekend of freedom.

Hen Weekend momentos

If a 'Hens on Tour' t-shirt and a roll of blurred photos are not your idea of good hen weekend mementos, then we have the perfect solution for you. Eclipse Leisure Party Organisers have launched a first of its kind Hen Weekend website. The private site will act as your own archive of pictures you can share with your fellow Hens, and it can come in handy for actually organising the do itself.

The website can be used as a payment centre (so you don't have to worry about chasing cash) and contains all the information you and your fellow hens need.
